Fashion Design 101: Little designers with big dreams!

Amman, March 14 - April 18 Unleash the designer in your kids!

Target Audience:

12-17 yrs old

Main Objective:

Help participants acquire creative thinking by interactive learning and practicing different roles in the fashion industry.

Duration:

30 training hours spread over Saturdays.

The workshop is spread over 7 Saturdays with 4 hours each (10am-2pm). It shall cover the following topics:

Introduction to the fashion industry (storytelling about the history and future of fashion)
Stylist role in action.
Mode board design, color palettes and basics of branding.
Sketching skill and how to express you design visually.Sharpen your pencil now!
Fabrics and shopping for fabrics to educate little designers how to budget for their first outfit/piece.
Embroidery design and practice with experts in this field.
Working with the tailor to assemble the fabric and get their first piece done.
The art of drapping and recycling of clothes.

Hama Yassen

is a fashion designer on a mission to empower modern woman and give each and every lady comfort, elegance and happiness. She also aims at helping other designers grow their fashion brands by offering them a dynamic marketplace khoodfashion.com.

In order to mix professional expertise, talent and international best practices, Hama has attended Burgo School of Fashion in Milan. Hama focuses on fashion for today’s active women to outshine at: home, work and social gatherings.

In order to share her expertise with aspiring designers. Hama has founded khood Academy as a regional Institute to empower women with fashion, art and real-life skills highly demanded in the job market.
